It took us long planning and a lot of considerations before we’ve decided for my husband to travel back to PH during the holidays. He braved through the risks and he had to go through a lot of health protocols. I was able to document the whole process from the airport up to the point that he arrived safely in our home.
Here are a few key points to guide you when you’re entering PH during the pandemic:
1. Regardless of what country you are from, all returning passengers will have to go through a swab test once landed. If you’re a tourist, you have to pay for the fee but OFWs got free swab tests.
2. Bus will take you straight to the hotel where you need to stay for quarantine. Note that the number of days stay in the hotel depends on the existing IATF rule.
3. Food is already provided all throughout your stay.
4. Once you get a negative swab test, bus can be arranged in going back to the airport (if you’re going to Vis/Min) or bus if you’re within Luzon.
I would say that the whole process went on smoothly because of the help of OWWA.
Major lesson here is (1) you have to follow all the health protocols (wearing of facemask, face shield, always sanitize your hands, social distancing etc) (2) follow the instructions given to you (downloading of apps, taking temperature etc) and more patience and prayers of course.
To all travellers, goodluck and stay safe.ย ย Comment down below if you have questions on the whole process.ย
